It was you

it was you I fell in love with,
right from the start.
you made me feel human and touched my very heart.
I never realized about a lot of things.
you taught me to love, and feel for another,
that it was alright to say those three words, with a meaning so true.
those three words though, that linked to the heart,
a heart is as fragle as glass, you've got to be careful with the glass that you have.
not just with yours but those of others to, the simplest of thing said in one second can end it, with a snap.
you taught me a lot, and it was mine fault that i claim.

those promises unknown, is what i tell myself.
the wise never put love behind for you're sure to get hurt, but deal with them in one way, without shoving them into the closet.
if you do that then you're never sure to win.
something will come up and you'll always think of them.

i guess why it took me so long to realize this, and i hope it's one of the last things i say to you,
