No Air

You're the spider
And I'm the fly tangled in your web.
I try to make my wings flap,
But, thanks to you, I'm paralyzed.

You're the bird
And I'm the worm trapped in your nest.
I try to crawl out,
But every time I look, you're in my way.

You're the lion
And I'm the zebra cornered in your den.
I try to fight back,
But your claws are too sharp.

Let go, you're suffocating me.
It's like I'm deep underwater and desperate to breathe.
Your hold is asphyxiating me.
I can see the lock, but where is the key?
Your grip is smothering me.
I'm chained down by you and trying to be free.
