Daydreams

I used to never daydream in school.
I guess nothing was ever powerful enough to catch my mind mid-drift.
Well, you've caught me now.

I'm stuck on a wire hanger
Refusing to climb abroad
Into the arms of safety
Where I'm without pleasing thoughts.
Contentment diffuses little by little,
Replaced by the lure of hope
And the want for answers to questions unrevealed.
Analysis sparked by possible hints
Marks the day I found my daydreams.
My wire hanger disappeared because you safely grabbed me from it.

But now I've fallen back to reality
Where my invisible wire hanger
is holding me; And I refuse to let go
Until I'm pushed off,
Or until I've found your arms safely holding me. <3
