The Song In Our Hearts

I scream the song in my heart out loud,
My teeth shine through my closed mouth,
“A maniac” they yell when they see me coming,
I know they’re just jealous of my joy,
Man, I know how to smile through the tears,
“Hello people this is life. It’s pain, who cares”
Get over it!
It’s time to rejoice and sing,
I scream the song in my heart out loud.

Ouch, that hurt! Just brush it off,
We all know the story, you get up, you fall,
People please understand this is how things are,
I saw the scars across your arms,
Emotions run wild, handle them better,
People please understand what you’re doing to others,
It’s time to rejoice and sing with me,
I scream the song in my heart out loud.

Through the wire and through the fire,
I came out with a few scratches on my face,
They healed beautifully and I look at them and say,
“I’m very strong; I made it through that day.”
I’ve got a smile that’s permanently across my face,
You can see it through my frown any day,
Come rejoice and sing with me,
I scream the song in my heart out loud.

Hold my head up because I know I’m proud,
I scream the song in my heart out loud,
Love the pain and the love I’ve felt,
I scream the song in my heart out loud.

You can’t push me off the edge,
My balance is much greater then you ever knew,
Say what you want, it goes through one ear and out,
I know I’m beautiful without a doubt,
Stop pulling me down and rejoice with me,
And sing with me the song in our hearts out loud.
