Don't Try, Don't Chase, Don't Love. (No Cry)

Call me pessimistic,
But I see no point in those kinds of dreams.
The one’s that live for nothing more, and
Nothing ever really is what it seems.
Unachievable fantasies,
Unrealistic desires,
Losing hope can take its toll
When you’ve lost all of your control.

Reality exists,
And things happen how they are supposed to.
It’s easier to live like that, when
Beautiful daydreams can’t be deemed untrue.
Surprises that are better loved,
People kept and cherished,
Walk into my life unknown
And show me what is better shown.

Forceful love can’t be real,
So expectations should not be acquired.
Maybe then the smiles are worth it, and
Your senseless direction can be retired.
Provoke a heart to find its love,
No faith to analyze,
Trip me down steps of despair,
No need to fix what needs repair.
