I Cut To Hide The Pain

I cut to hide the pain

even though it may leave a stain

Every night I take a blade

and start to cut till the blood starts to fade

I lie awake wondering why

why I always want to die

Lost and alone in my own way

I watch the night go by every day

A new day has come and a new scar is ready

I take the blade and hold it steady

I make a cut and thats my gain

just to remember that I cut to hide the pain
