Misunderstood

Seated solemnly alone,
on an isolated little stone.
Darkness fogging up the view,
The girl is feeling blue.

That day she realized something new.
She was different, resembled very few.
Felt as though she didn't belong,
in a world she had tried to blend into for so long.

All who knew her judged and criticized all they could,
but it's only because they never understood.
The ignorant fellers who walk the streets,
beware of their actions, they cause deceits.

The few she felt were her friends at heart.
The ones she'd known forever, she no longer knew apart.
Everyone around her had changed,
but at the same time they were all so alike
so fake and rearranged.

So sitting down on her knees,
her body shivering from the breeze,
she prays to the heavens that tonight,
when she pulls the trigger of the pistol she holds,
her soul will be gone forever, out of sight.
