Overwhelmed

The stress takes over as thoughts enclose my mind
The purpose trickles through my scarred fingers
Like blood seeping down the drain
Wash away my misery and diminish this pain

Tears stain my cracked floor
Horror becomes the phobia
My life as I know it seems distant
The fear grows stronger; I repent

Remaining is the love, stronger from the pain
The permanent thoughts of you I see
Just enough to conquer the fear
No more shall I endure this misery
