The Serpents Sting

A snake in his lake,
With the flick of his lick,
Can inflict such a tick,
That can make your mother wake.

In the sea it will not be,
For the flick it will pick,
It is not a stick but a trick,
For a snake is what you see.

Is it me the one to be,
The one who sings,
‘The serpents sting?’
Is it me or is it he?

O’ Dear old snake you must not brake,
For its fun to see,
A child’s delight turn to so much fright.
O’ Dear old snake you must not brake,
For can you see,
It is my delight on whom you fright.
