To Write Love On Her Arms

You should see the scars that litter her arms,
They’re to remind her of all the times you said she wasn’t good enough.
For all the times she’s ever been harmed.
Because you always told her she had to be tough.

But in the end you stopped caring,
Now look what’s become of her.
Her hands clutching her head because she lost her bearings,
She drives off the highway onto a spur.

She feels stupid for ever listening you,
She cries and screams into the night.
Cursing you for everything you used to put her through,
Gripping the steering wheel so tight.

At night she prays that you’ll fall one day,
It’s all she wants to see.
All she wants is for you to pay.
