What You Know

It was a long time ago
The land was in despair
The plants wouldn’t grow
The king would not share

And the war was not fair
Took children from there home
It killed the unaware
Even dead fear to roam

I cannot condone
The actions of the west
We can only hope
It out ways the rest

For the best
They ever won
Was this vest
Of in unborn son

How could he outrun
When he lacked his legs
At the barrel of a gun
How could he beg?

Cracked open like in egg
Insides tumble on the ground
Listen to the father beg
Listen to the sadistic sound

As you pound
On the poor mans reason for life
Only if he found
A reason for the strife

His baby on a knife
Now used as a flag
And the leftover of his wife
Would make any man gag

Yet the men they brag
They show off their star
Rapped in a rag
Play with the fathers scar

It’s bizarre
The world around us
For every star
There are 10 who must

Have some bloodlust
War over nothing
We must not trust
Followers of the king

Even if they sing
Smooth and sweet
They’re always lying
They will all cheat

And repeat
There devilish acts
Children dead on the street
But none will react

As long as we are intact
It’s not our business
It does not impact
Our progress

There’s no success
In charity
It’s only to repress
Our memory

Make the story
Seem like it’s getting better
To show glory
Through some letter

That a beggar
From another place
Wrote to a sir
From a different race

To try and chase
A dream of a normal life
You don’t have to face
The ultimate strife

Watch your wife
Be cut open and die
Have a knife
Up to your throat you cry
For a reason to fight
A reason to try

And ask to die
You wouldn’t know
In less seen with your own eye
You just wouldn’t show

The low
That they can sink
How slow
They really think

So pass the drink
Cause we refuse to change
And in a blink
It will rearrange

You’re back to the strange
But the will never undergo
Nothing changed
Back to what you know
