A Pile of Blood and Lace
She awoke a mess
With stains on her dress
And mascara trails down her face
Her dress was torn
Her body felt worn
And she wondered how she ended up in this place
Into the dark she stared
She began to grow scared
As the shadows toyed with her mind
On the ground she found a match
She lit it and found a scratch
The blood coming from her head was unkind
Her head was pounding
The pain was astounding
As her weak legs tried to stand
She was like a newborn deer
Which escalated her fear
As a noise echoed across the land
She heard the piercing cry
And believed she was going to die
As her trembling legs began to run
Her pulse was beating
Time was fleeting
As she ran from this darkened one
Through the trees she fled
As she bled and bled
Tears streaming down her face
The sunlight now shone
There lay a girl all alone
In a pile of blood and lace
With stains on her dress
And mascara trails down her face
Her dress was torn
Her body felt worn
And she wondered how she ended up in this place
Into the dark she stared
She began to grow scared
As the shadows toyed with her mind
On the ground she found a match
She lit it and found a scratch
The blood coming from her head was unkind
Her head was pounding
The pain was astounding
As her weak legs tried to stand
She was like a newborn deer
Which escalated her fear
As a noise echoed across the land
She heard the piercing cry
And believed she was going to die
As her trembling legs began to run
Her pulse was beating
Time was fleeting
As she ran from this darkened one
Through the trees she fled
As she bled and bled
Tears streaming down her face
The sunlight now shone
There lay a girl all alone
In a pile of blood and lace
