Silent Cries

The Silent Cries
of the ones in need,
fill my ears,
and break my heart.

Everyone needs help,
but not everyone knows how to get it.
They cry, but no one knows,
Their smiles are usually forced.

Their Silent Cries ring in the air.
Demanding freedom,
when freedom isn't free.
Sometimes it's just prison with benefits.

They drown in their sorrows,
but hide it well.
They hope for help,
but help won't come.

Their Silent Cries,
Quiet, but heard,
fill the ears of those who listen,
and those who listen lend the help.
