A feeling turned into a hope
A hope turned into a thought
A thought turned into a word
A word turned into a sentence
with a meaning...
Told to the boy
She truly cares for and loves
She waits for the reaction
And unexpectedly gets nothing
Shocked as can be by this blow
She walks away without being stopped
The whole world has a new meaningful
Happy endings don't exist anymore
Locked in her room all alone
She sheds all her tears into her pillow
And finds all their pictures together
Rips them to shreds and throws them in the trash
At school, nothing is wrong
At home, everything is a disaster
Her friends are concerned
But she ignores their calls
She comes across some heroine
Can't help but try and get away from life
She does all she can to get more

She finds herself friendless
And still profoundly in love
With the one and only guy
Who doesn't feel the same
Another day of devastation and drama
Gives her heard all it can handle
She writes a note and places it in his locker
And runs home crying hopelessly
She grabs her stash under the floorboard
And runs with all her might into the woods
Only to float into the deep, dark, depths of hell
While the thundering sky pours rain from the gods above
Only a while later is the stash about gone
She's flying high up in the clouds
With no worries whatsoever
All she can think about is more and more
With all the drugs gone
She feels sick and desperate for more
She stands up on her feet
Head swirling and vision blurry
Her helpless body meets the cold, wet, floor
And her head hurts more than her aching heart
Trying with all her power to scream for help
But she lies there, immovable
As she lies in the cold
Her body numb and aching all over
She wants to close her eyes and sleep
And does so, effortlessly
She's falling and falling into blackness
She sees her family and love floating around her
Yelling, smiling, and crying in your face
She struggles to reach for them and fails
She faintly hears her mother crying and screaming
She tries to yell back to her
To let her know she's scared and needs help
But it's too late, she's already gone
She floats deeper and deeper into darkness.
