The Fight

Watch my pain,
Like falling rain.

I writhe and scream,
An endless dream.

I close my eyes,
Remembering your lies.

I surrendered helpless,
I surrendered hopeless.

You stabbed me in the back,
Laughing about the things I lack.

Telling me to go to hell,
Knowing you'll be there as well.

My life shall not concern you anymore,
So go ahead and walk out that door.

My back was turned and you took a shot,
Leaving me to die in the parking lot.

So as you leave my life tonight,
I'll know that I won the fight.
