WORDS OF A DRAGONFLY.

WORDS OF A DRAGONFLY.

I can see two hundred seven feet below,
I can see the lights of a distant town glow.
I can see past the leaves & into the heart of a tree,
Sometimes I wish you could see what I see.

Young caterpillar, in my eye,
I believe you can be a butterfly.

Sometimes I dart & flutter close to water's face,
Sometimes when tree branches heave, the wind & I race.
Sometimes I follow the vivid trail of a spirited firefly,
I wish I was worshiped by the great moon risen high.

Young caterpillar, in my eye,
I believe you can be a butterfly.

I wish you would watch the wind tickle the meadow it looks after,
I wish you'd notice the grass swaying & shaking with ecstatic laughter.
I wish you could feel the breath of a heavy cloud,
I want to take you to the place where only angels are allowed.

Young caterpillar, in my eye,
I believe you can be a butterfly.

I want you to soar through a rainbow's viens,
I want you to fathom all the beauty it contains.
I want you to be afraid to fly beside the sun's beams,
i want you to live out your wildest dreams.

Young caterpillar, in my eye,
I believe you will be a butterfly.
