Light
The sun glistens
Lighting up the moon
Who is ignoring the stars
Their independent light mocking him
The moon dances around the sun
Who simply looks on
Considering the unrestrained devotion
The stars watching in utter revulsion
As through the sun the moon beams bright
Not portraying the moon's silent jealousy
Of the stars' independent light
And as the dance continues
Throughout the months and the years
The sun continues to light the moon
And the stars' light continues mock him endlessly
And the moon just dances
Trying to ignore the jealousy
And through it all
The dark fabric of space continues also
On its eternal quest to snuff all the light out
