I Dream, I Dream

Sleep closes my eyes tight shut,
The morning waits for my first yawn.
Until then i dream, i dream.
Mark my words of that of dawn.
I dream of peace, in a sunset meadow,
A piece of heaven for the gardens shadow.

There lays a bed of roses,
A calling i can't ignore.
All heard it's calls, it's calls,
Such peace, i never saw.
It calls me forth, to stand afront to bow.
I opt to say but i know not how.

The calling stops, the roses cry,
A fire starts they submit to burn,
I fell to knees, they burn, they burn.
The peace is charred to fill an urn.
It's whispered peace leaves me cold, alone.
I start to weep for this shattered throne.

I wake astart, my forehead cold.
Such peace could not have burned.
It was all a dream, I dreamt, i dreamt.
I ready myself for what i have learned,
Taking up my axe at duties call,
For there are trees to tame, forests to fall.
