If and When

The golden light of my summer
is disappearing.
Of the three who hold my heart,
only two are remaining.
When he smiles I feel weightless.
Without promises, there is nothing to accept.
Nothing to expect.
It's hot, freezing, windy,
My weather constantly changes.
The emotions play out,
dancing in the light across my face.
All I want is him
To choose me.
To say what's in the air
Only acknowledgment.
So calmly lingering,
I want to hold your hand.
