Darkness and Light

For God created darkness along with light,
The sea along with the land,
The silence along with the sound,
The noise along with the serenity,
The tears along with the laughter,
The ugly along with the stunning,
The flood along with the well,
The thorn along with the rose,
The rain along with the sunshine,
The pain along with the joy,
The emptiness along with the love
So that the latter is not the norm,
But the thing that keeps us breathing.
