Lust

I met you beneath the silver lace of moonlight in the garden
Your eyes glowing with velvet sky and liquid starlight
My fingers trace the silk ribbons of your veins beneath your skin
Their delicate sapphire lines marking an expanse of ivory
As our lips brush and mesh, tongues gliding wetly together
Unable to contain my desire, my hands slide beneath your shirt
Encountering smooth, hot flesh as sweet as honey

Shivers vibrate up your spine as I lick a path to your throat
Daring you to refuse me as I push you to the edge yet again
Control waning, you link your fingers behind my neck
Meager resistance fades, your internal voices silencing your pleas
And it is all I need to clap your waist, draw you to the grass

Your hair sighs as I caress the pale strands like woven sunlight
And your body responds to me as I reveal it to the night
Muscles spasm when stroked, skin rising when chilled

Slowly I lift you, pushing you closer and closer to your peak
Forcing you into the blinding heat of the supernova

Lust in an apple we all ache to devour

Never realizing it is she who devours us
