Betrayal

He clenched and unclenched his tightly closed fists
Him falling for her, one lieutenant persists
He stared at his friend, a mirror twin
He’s being blamed for letting love begin

A push and a shove and things were said
Just because he had a big cocky head
Unfortunate for him she heard these things
She grasped that their friendship was tied by strings

She ran into the woods upset near tears
While she sat and sobbed ignoring her fears
She was sitting on the forest’s cool ground
Where she was cold and wet but fin’lly found

He sat down next to her and let her cry
And listened to her fears but didn’t pry
