The Lord's Goddess

There was once a Heaven set Lord,
Who never did rule and he’d always be bored.
While there was a Goddess born a mortal girl
She was smart and would leave men in a whirl

Her eyes held the universe they said,
Knowledge was infinite in her head.
The Lord was powerful, wise and immortal.
But why couldn’t he close a single portal?

He could have the world bowing down.
But all he did was sit and watch his crown.
The girl was trapped, she couldn’t move.
Chained as a slave, with the powers she couldn’t prove.

A day came and she was bought as a gift.
To the Lord she was to help up lift.
The Lord looked upon her with disgust.
But every man looked upon her with lust.

She was placid about being the only one,
But in a harem she was expected bring a son.
The Lord was starting to change and work,
When he would complain she’d take a fork.

The Lord looked at her with admiring eyes,
Awed by how she tore apart any lies.
But the time to ascend to the gods was near.
And the Lord had begun to fear.

She could feel the changes but what was she to do?
When only she knew nothing except for a few.
The Lord cried in his heart; for a first time falling.
When she left, something was clawing.

Clawing, at his heart, breaking him apart.
For the Lord had given her his heart.
Now what is to become of him?
When the gray heavy skies are grim.
