I Got No Sleep

I got no sleep,
I knew what today was;
I knew that by morning I'd be free.

I tossed and I turned
And the voices would wake me,
Then they'd poke me
And pinch me,
Posess me and hit me
Until I fell back asleep.

I got no sleep,
And in the morning I was tired;
My eyes were red and unhappy.

I sat and I thought
And the voices made fun of me
For being so mean
And taking so long to fall asleep.
And I cried and I lied,
"You're wrong, I am fine."
And the next night,
I died.
