The Ballet Dancer

She flies across the room
Held back by nothing
But it crosses her mind again
She loses her peace

She glides across the room
Feet barely touching the floor
But she knows what she's done
She loses her footing

She stumbles across the room
Clumsy, basic mistakes
But her guilt's taking over
She loses her control

She cries on the ground
Shaking, sobbing, guilty
Forgetting the peace of dance
She loses her mind
