A Good Girl

A girl sits and cries,
Her brother wishes her gone,
Her parents,
Pay no attention,
Her existence is small,
Her heart almost shattered,
She seems so happy,
At school she wears a mask,
When it’s on
She says what she wants,
When it comes off,
Her happiness,
Her fake smiles,
Only a shadow of what she was,
But who she is now
Too broken,
She dreams like everybody else,
People so mean
To a girl so kind,
A fate worse than death,
She suffers
Every day at school,
Every night at home,
A year she sat,
In a hallway so empty,
No one to talk to
Self-esteem so low,
Her heart broke that day,
She was sent not home
But to a place of people
She knew, but not loved.
In this place she was tortured,
And stared at the sky above,
It’s been years,
Since her smile was real,
She wishes the hate gone,
But for her family
To at least miss her when she’s gone,
Do they care?
Will they ever,
They may not seem to,
But she loves them,
So dearly that it hurts,
The pain it brings
To wish bad things,
Brought her agonizing pain,
Not only to her body,
But to the shards of her heart,
That remain
Unfound
She wishes them regret,
For all the pain
She was put through,
But wishes them happiness,
Because she’s a good girl,
A nice girl.
