The Snake

Hissing me a poem, sneaking through my head
Eats my lungs to breathe and takes me wrists before its fangs
Devilish eyes before me, I live in what it says
I live in years that pass, and this forgotten long ago
Washing me in instigating numbness through my chest
Shaking with hell before me, the snake swallows me whole
Lick my spine, Taste my blood, Cower me away
Like prey before my enemies, like disintegration
Heart of ash and soul of dust
I lay and let it collide within
