Ever Since You Left Me
I have a heart but it does not beat,
I have lips but they don't speak,
I have lungs yet I don't breathe,
I have a brain but I don't think.
I have legs but I don't stand.
Ever since you left me
I stand alone in a crowded room
And I have eyes but I don't see
I've become a shell of my former self
I'm lost without a key
Ever since you left me
Empty promises and hallow lies
Remind me of a time when life was bliss
How could it all end like this?
You told me that you'd love me true
Baby all I saw was you
I was so young, I couldn't see
That you played a game; the game was me
Ever since you left me
I fell to the floor; the tears stream down my cheeks
I see a light, but my future's bleak
I should have know that you'd do this
Of course I wanted your sweet kiss
Ever since you left me
Knowing that you're done with me
It's my price, to pay my fee
Love isn't real my mother said
And if it was we'd all be dead
It'd kill us all with it's sharpened knife
So its best that we'd live our life...
without it.
Ever since you left me
The cries that ring in night air
can't compare what I have to share
I wrote this poem for no ones eyes
I wrote this poem of all your lies
I love you had to be my fav
all of me is what I gave
But you didn't mean it you never do
you lied to me, that is true
Ever since you left me
I died a bit that day
A lose of words, of which to say
I couldn't stop what you had done
Into the darkness I had to run
And now I lye here, deep in pain
As these thoughts fade from my brain
So remember dear my words true
These last words are meant for you
The blood runs cold across my wrist
A fairy tale but with a twist
I open you cry as I dye
I hope you see that you are why
Remember with my dying breath
I whispered these words to my dear love true
Remember that...
I fucking loved you.
Ever since you left me.
