Rain Falls In December

Rain falls in December,
Whilst hearts beat out of sync.
The drummer's lost his beat,
But they can't see the link.

A little something's missing,
But the absence isn't seen.
She lies and lies again,
Trying to fill the gaps in between.

Forever seems such a long time
And without doubt they'll give in,
But not before the feeling dies
And sheds it's false skin.

Rain falls in October now,
For December's far too cold.
Two lovers are not lovers now,
For that story's far too old.
