Dark Skies

Dark skies, bright stars
A night as cold as his heart
Along he went no matter how far
Promising her they would never ever part

She ran away, sad smiles and fierce eyes
Far from the shadows, far from the bottom
Wet sobs and heavy sighs
She housed no desire for his kingdom

But she never escaped, oh no
His soul now paints hers black
She’s lost, gone into a world of dying daisies and stinging rain below
No matter how hard she tries, she can’t go back

He takes her to a castle of anguish
Deep in the night
