So You Think

So you think
That you have the right
To judge me
Because I am NOT who YOU
Are and I do not believe
What you believe
And I don’t act like you
I go to my own beat

So you think you have the right
To judge me
Because you’re a hypocrite
And I want to be true to me
Because you don’t seem to know how
To care about everyone for who they are
Isn’t that how you were brought up?
Or did you live in a twisted home
Where you only learned to care
For people who follow and believe like you

Do you think
That you are more worthy than I?
That you deserve respect
Because you believe differently
Than me?
That’s not in my field of vision
That’s not what I see
I see all for who they are
Not for what they seem
And I see a monster
Under that pretty face
That you call your own
You are not what you seem
Or what you claim to be

I have the right
Not to be judged
For who I am
And what I believe
I have the right
To say that you don’t have the right
To judge me.
