My legs ache
from chasing after you

My face stings
from the wind whipping
around us

My hands are numb
and my face is pink
from the cold snow
brought on by winter

I'm shivering
because in my rush
I forgot to grab a coat

But even after all that
my heart is warm
from the love I feel for you

And my mind is sound
just knowing the promise you made
and that you'll never leave me to my own
evil devices
