Child Labor
Here we are
In the cold and dark, working
We suffer in silence
We're never seen
Surrounded by violence
Walking in muck
This is our torture
And we cry with our pain
We scream with our agony
Our stomachs growl with hunger
Our mouths dry with thirst
And our bones have grown weak
Some of us work to help
Some of us work and barely scrape by
Half of us live on the streets,
And struggle to survive
Our families are poor
Our clothes are mere rags
We're treated like dirt
And this... this is how we live
In the cold and dark, working
We suffer in silence
We're never seen
Surrounded by violence
Walking in muck
This is our torture
And we cry with our pain
We scream with our agony
Our stomachs growl with hunger
Our mouths dry with thirst
And our bones have grown weak
Some of us work to help
Some of us work and barely scrape by
Half of us live on the streets,
And struggle to survive
Our families are poor
Our clothes are mere rags
We're treated like dirt
And this... this is how we live
