Heartbeats

Heartbeats, everywhere,
Signs of life and living.
Some beat in calm,
Some beat in fear,
Sharing, taking, giving.

Each one denotes a person,
Each one shows who they are.
A being with love and hopes and dreams,
Beautiful shooting star.

My heart it beats for me and you,
My heart it beats for love.
There is no space between us two,
We hold each other up.

Heartbeats, yours and mine,
They tie us two together.
Now our heartbeats march in time,
And so they will forever.
