Photograph
This is a photograph of a girl
A girl who has been cut off from the rest of the world
Who longs to be with her friends
But is shut away in her room
A girl who is given missed opportunities
And whose chance to prove herself just “disappeared”
Like all the rest of the things she values most
A girl who wants to feel loved
But feels hatred instead
Who wants to help when she sees a need
But is pushed away, back to her room
A girl who longs to feel the sweetness of freedom
But is denied again for a broken unexisting rule
And sentenced to another week of
Earning back objects that are rightfully hers
A girl who desires to hear the noises of the world
But can only hear the empty hallow beat
Of her broken lonely heart
That girl is the photograph… is me
A girl who has been cut off from the rest of the world
Who longs to be with her friends
But is shut away in her room
A girl who is given missed opportunities
And whose chance to prove herself just “disappeared”
Like all the rest of the things she values most
A girl who wants to feel loved
But feels hatred instead
Who wants to help when she sees a need
But is pushed away, back to her room
A girl who longs to feel the sweetness of freedom
But is denied again for a broken unexisting rule
And sentenced to another week of
Earning back objects that are rightfully hers
A girl who desires to hear the noises of the world
But can only hear the empty hallow beat
Of her broken lonely heart
That girl is the photograph… is me
