A Beautiful Mistake.

warning you of what was coming
was much too hard for me to speak.
i left us in the darkness,
closer to the edge of a cliff on a mountain peak.
what was once too hard,
is now too easy,
that was until the ghosts seized me.
into their dungeon at night and awake,
till dawn i was kept dreaming
of a beautiful mistake.
one to lead us back to what was called home,
in the company of weeping willows
and sad-drunk lullabies,
among the dreams of the sweet unknown,
flushed into the happy blue skies.
