Two Diverged Fates

Two roads split apart
Right down the middle
The gravel cracks at my feet.

My heart sings right
My mind urges left
The thorns nick my clothes.

An old sun sets
A familiar moon rises
The wind catches my hair.

To turn right would lead to death
To turn left would be suicide
The air screams a long song of silence.

Two roads split apart
Right down the middle
The gravel cracks my side
As I lay down the middle.
