Blind

I was born with the ability not to see
And yet I’m still like you
I don’t need help getting around
I can sense and feel my way through

This ability doesn’t bother me at all
Most things in life I don’t want to see
The way I think makes everything better
It might be better to be me

Without my sight I don’t judge
With everything else I express
The way I feel and want to be treated
So just ask me before you guess

My sight isn’t a strength or a weakness
It’s a part of me, I was born this way
I don’t question the fact I have it
Because I live with it every day
