On A Silent Winter Night

On a silent winter night
The world ignored its own destruction
Snow fell to the ground
Just as on a normal night it would,
Beauty attempting to blind those
Who laid themselves within its grasp
But I broke the strangle-hold
Saw that which you choose to ignore
Often times I wish I hadn’t
After all
Ignorance is bliss

Because the real truth to this world
Is that truth
Is not something
You ever want to see

So live within that beauty
Let the snow blanket you
In layers of fairytale dreams
And pure blinded happiness
Because once you’re out
That winter never
Comes back
