Serenity

The high shimmering gates open.
Your snow white face appears
Pink with pleasure.
Strands of tresses billowing forth beneath
Your golden crown.

You emanate a radiant aura.
Our flesh blends
Warm. Rosy pink.
Into a shimmering, everlasting embrace
That speaks an overdue conversation

Your fair, delicate fingers
Gently cradle mine.
Your pure gown flows
Swishing. Brushing.
Kissing the cream clouds.

Lushly lucid
Perched above the transparent atmosphere
Peacefulness is illuminated
As a light, soothing snow drifts upon us
Melting before it flutters to our feet

You shimmer with serenity
You’re a pearl of passivity
Glowing amongst the misty white clouds.
Bliss shines blinding white as a veil of mist falls between us
And we bid adieu once more.

This poem is about getting the chance to catch up with a loved one in Heaven who passed away. I tried to inhance this by appealing to sense of light colors and creating a peaceful, hazy/dreamlike atmosphere. If you read, PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEE leave a comment and give me some feedback! :)
