Secrets That Won't Stop Coming

Out of the bag comes a young girl,
Crying because her father is leaving.
Later that same girl would still be in tears
Because she has realized that her father isn't coming back.

There would be a heart made of paper,
Thin as a butterfly's wings.
That heart falls so easily
And loves so freely.

A bird that flies free,
Spreading it's wings wide as it soars up to the sky.
It repeats the process of dipping down
And coming up at the last moment.

A candle alight
That glows forever.
It burns anyone
Who is reaching for it.

A Book, tightly bound with one word written on the front,
Yet it holds so many on the inside.
This holds so many lessons
That are applied and used daily.

A handful of snow,
It shines bright but burns cold.
This snow fills her heart, hides her away from the world
So nobody can make her hurt.

An invisible tornado,
Full of emotions.
Different ones seem to want to fly out in every direction
But are held back by the force of the wind pushing them away.

And though there is more
I will end with this.
A piece of white thread
For the happiness that once was.
