To The Stars

She walks along
The darkened land
With a broken heart
And a gun in hand

She thinks about
The lies he told
The games he played
His touch so cold

She longs to be
With the stars above

She reaches water
So cold and pure
And lifts the gun
To touch her ear

She hears the shot
