Petals on the Plants of Life

Leafy stems creep up
From deep within the soft ground
Green and full of life

Rain quenches the thirst
Of ravenous flower buds
Giving needed strength

Now, it is the time
For those big buds to blossom
Forming "May flowers"

After the spring ends
Comes a big, hard, winter freeze
Plants go back under
