In The Silence

In the silence,
She could feel eyes upon her,
And began to move faster,
The eyes scared her,
They made her think of horrible times.

In the silence,
He noticed the beautiful girl,
He watched her move towards the exit,
And begged her to stop in his mind,
Knowing that she would leave anyway.

In the silence,
She could hear her heart beating.
The thought of it made her cringe,
She knew she need not worry,
But she couldn’t escape her thoughts.

In the silence,
He made it home alone once more,
He could till see her beauty before him,
He still knew what effect She had,
And how lonely he truly was.

In the silence,
She looked upon the past,
The photos glared at her in despair,
And reminded her of what she lost,
As she reached the end she made a decision.

In the silence,
He poured himself a drink,
Knowing that it wasn’t the solution,
At first he thought he imagined the knocking,
Then he opened the door to the beautiful girl.

In the silence,
She looked straight into his eyes,
The eyes that unnecessarily scared her,
No eyes had looked at her with such intensity,
Making her want him even more.

In the silence,
He watched her mouth open and close,
He realised she didn’t know what to say,
He opened his mouth to help her,
When she suddenly spoke.

In the silence,
Her resolve caved,
Making her weak and unsure,
She struggled before saying,
“I love you.”

In the silence.
His eyes widened in shock,
And he stood still for a moment,
He considered her statement before replying,
“I love you too.”
