I Didn't Know It Would Hurt Like This
There once was a girl who cried a little too often
She felt as if she was about to pick out her very own coffin
Down down she fell into sadness
She couldn’t see the good, and there was nothing but badness
She hid her in room, all alone
And only person she wanted, they wanted to be all on their own
So now she is learning to stand on her own
Everything is shattering, every little bone
It’s easy to stand in a crowd
All high and proud
But when things happen and we don’t really know why
All we think do is be here and cry
There is so much to say
But all that is happening is that she is being pushed away
She’s all alone again
She’s making lists in her head, holding an imaginary pen
She wants this, and that
But she mainly wants him to last
She’s tired of the heavy rain
And she really wishes there would be no more pain
He is hiding from her so
She is confused, and there is nothing that she knows
She wants him to get better
She is willing to wait, always and forever
Whenever he will come back
The sun will shine, and they will make it last
She hopes that day is soon
He appears floating, right now he’s the man on the moon
She felt as if she was about to pick out her very own coffin
Down down she fell into sadness
She couldn’t see the good, and there was nothing but badness
She hid her in room, all alone
And only person she wanted, they wanted to be all on their own
