He loves me

The pink rose petals fall,
As I pull them off one by one,
My obstacle is gone, that wall,
That trapped me from saying,
"He loves me."

But now I can always say it,
As you kiss me and hold me tight,
You love me no matter what,
And you will forever with all might.

Then, I see you with a new girl,
Yet with us still together in love,
My world spins and goes in a whirl,
I can't believe what I'm seeing.

My vision goes blurry, I can't see,
You hold her close and tell her,
Secrets about anything at all,
And also that you love her forever.

I turn far away from you,
With my eyes filled with tears,
Holding the stem, wondering if you knew,
How much I loved us together.

A rose petal falls slowly down,
Where I was once standing,
Believing that you were so,
So amazing and understanding.
The final petal is black & burnt, saying,

"He loves me not."
