Sinking Further Down.

she forgot what love was long ago.
it doesn't show up in dictionary's past.
the meaning was forgotten,
just simply not meant to last.

words taken for granted,
heads held low.
she needed less scars,
fighting a battle no one will know.

so she will inhale the smoke
and cut through her wrist.
carefully, won't choke,
for sweet death is her gift.

now she throws her head back,
as her grey world turns black.
Sinking further down,
finally at peace with a smile instead of a frown.
