I may not know where I come from
Where my family learned their values,
But what I do know, knows me.
The values I have understand me
How my reactions are to criticism
What success feels like.
These are my truths.
My mother taught me what she knows and I am learning the rest.
Influences all around me have had their effect but
My home teaches me
the most.
The truths that lie within my home are the truths that guide me.
