A Time To Feel At Peace With Me

Picking dew drenched flowers
Until the sun comes up
Barefoot
And in the grass

All old wives-tales seem possible
Yet the ebb and flow
Of traffic
Seems unstoppable

The sunrise reflects my fears
A lack luster shine that
Blinds
Over the years

I am thoughtful and careful
Of what I say or how I act
But seconds before the sun
Rises
No one cares about that

It's a time to feel at peace with me
For the Earth to settle in my
Bones
Where it's okay to be alone
