The Outcry

There remained silence
In the midst of the horizon.
Quietness shadows over
Everyone without a reason.

There was darkness
Looming in here.
Where I stood hopeless
And trembling with fear.

A shriek I heard from afar,
The intensity so loud and clear.
I heard footsteps coming closer to me;
I know he’s very near.

I ran towards the darkness,
Away from him that seeks me.
For I fear if I was captured,
I would never make it out completely.

The rain started to enter,
The thunder roaring loud;
The lightning, my only source of light,
Whenever I almost fall down.

I was weary and tired;
Which way was out?
Adrenalin rushed through my veins,
When I heard another shout!

I struggled with myself tonight;
I have to stay alive.
I need to get out of here;
In order to survive.

The night grew dimmer;
My vision going black;
I fell down a branch,
And had a slash.

My knee was bleeding;
I was screaming in pain;
My voice was desperate,
But who to blame?

There stood a shadow
Behind my back.
The man had found me;
He was ready to attack.

I was helpless,
But I fought to survive.
I never saw day again,
After the outcry…
